Material group 1.1 and 1.2 (Steel)
• TIG Fillet weld 1.4 to 3 mm plate thickness – single layer welded
• TIG v-seam Pipe > Ø 25 mm wall thickness from 3 to 10 mm.
Material group 8 (Stainless steel)

TIG welding
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding is particularly suitable for welding thin plates and processing wind-resistant products. Wire is not used, although this is an option, but both sides are often melted together. Corners and edges are then finished extremely precisely. Clients must take into account a relatively slower work process than, for example, MIG and MAG welding.
MIG welding and MAG welding
In addition to a higher production speed, MIG and MAG welding also offer a great deal of flexibility, as it can be performed in almost any position. The methods offer good protection against oxidation, but for complete wind resistance Baas Metaal BV recommends a TIG welding process.
